Center For Legal Research and Resource Development (CeLRRd)

CeLRRd is a prominent national organization involved in research, resource and action programs on Human Rights in Nepal. It has done national research on criminal justice system, corruption and impunity. It works for the prevention of Trafficking of Girls and women for sexual exploitation. It has been developing a national level community surveillance system againts trafficking (CSSAT), working with the assitance of Unicef-Nepal and over 55,000 women, through over 400 committees of men and women. It has recently provided expert service to Council of Minister in drafting the Human Rights Commission regulations. CeLRRd is a first NGO in Nepal to receive such a honour by the governemnt. Recently, it has been involved in setting up of a Law School, with ample opportunity to specialize in Human Rights.
